When Do October 2026 LSAT Scores Come Out?

The Law School Admission Council lists Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, as the score release date for the October 2026 administration. That date applies to both the U.S./Canada test (Oct. 7-10) and the international test (Oct. 9-10), according to LSAC's October 2026 LSAT page.

Scores are posted to the LSAT Status page of JD Services, and LSAC says on its LSAT scoring page that test takers "will receive an email when your score is available." Scores are reported on a 120-180 scale with a percentile rank based on the previous three testing years.

LSAC notes that all of its dates "are subject to change," so test takers should check their JD Services account on release day rather than rely on third-party calendars.

Full 2026-27 LSAT Score Release Dates and Registration Deadlines

LSAC has published the complete 2026-27 testing-year schedule. All dates are Eastern Time, and receipt deadlines close at 11:59 p.m. ET.

International test takers sit on a shorter schedule: Jan. 15-16, April 9-10 and June 11-12, 2027, with the same registration deadlines and score release dates as the matching U.S. administrations, per the LSAC dates page.

What Time Are LSAT Scores Released?

LSAC says scores "are released to test takers at 9 a.m. ET through JD Services" on the release date. Law schools receive a score at the same time as the test taker unless the test taker bought Score Preview, and a prelaw advisor gets it the day after it is released to the student.

A score will not be released if there is a hold on the account or no approved writing sample on file. LSAC says first-time test takers "must complete LSAT Argumentative Writing, and have it approved, before your score can be released," so anyone who skipped that step should finish it before Oct. 28.

Can You Still Buy LSAT Score Preview for the October Test?

Yes, for a few more days. LSAC's October page lists a post-test Score Preview window of Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at $87. The cheaper $46 price ended Oct. 6, the day before the first test session.

Score Preview lets a test taker see the score and then keep or cancel it within six calendar days, according to LSAC's Score Preview page. Under that rule, an Oct. 28 release gives October test takers until 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 3 to decide. If they do nothing, the score goes on their record and is released to schools.

A canceled score still counts toward LSAC's annual and lifetime limits on how many times a person can test. Approved fee-waiver holders can use Score Preview at no charge.

LSAT November 2026 and January LSAT Registration Deadline

Registration for the November LSAT closed Oct. 1, 2026, but registered test takers can still change their test date for a $253 fee through Nov. 10, according to LSAC's November 2026 LSAT page. The $46 Score Preview deadline for November is also Nov. 10, and an $87 window runs Nov. 21-30. Scores come out Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. ET.

For January, the registration deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026, with a $253 registration fee. LSAC's January 2027 LSAT page lists free test date changes and full refunds through Dec. 3, scheduling from Dec. 22 to Jan. 6, 2027, and a score release of Feb. 3, 2027.

How LSAT Score Release Dates Fit Law School Deadlines

For applicants entering law school in fall 2027, January 2027 is the last LSAT many selective schools will take for regular decision. Here is what three schools state on their own admissions pages.

SchoolRegular DeadlineLast LSAT Accepted
Stanford Law SchoolFeb. 15, 2027January 2027
Columbia Law SchoolFeb. 15, 2027January 2027
NYU Law (Regular Decision)Feb. 15, 2027January 2027
NYU Law (Early Decision)Nov. 15, 2026October 2026

Stanford says applicants "must take the LSAT no later than January 2027," and applicants to its Knight-Hennessy Scholars program face an earlier cutoff of the November 2026 test. Columbia calls January the "last LSAT administration date" that meets its Feb. 15 deadline, and NYU requires early decision applicants to test no later than October 2026.

That makes the October score especially important for anyone eyeing a Nov. 15 early decision deadline. Deadlines and test cutoffs vary by school, so applicants should check each program directly. Students weighing the full commitment can read our guide on how long law school takes.
